In this workshop you will spend time releasing tension in your hips and learning how doing so can release emotions. The workshop begins with Rachel providing a brief review of anatomy, focusing on bone structures of the upper legs and the lower back. You will explore how the hips are the seat of our emotions and how stress can cause significant tightening or discomfort in the hips. After discussion, you will move through a gentle vinyasa flow meant to utilize new knowledge about our bodies and further explore linking breath with our movements. Rachel will guide you through a series of Yin postures meant to release fascia and other connective tissue in the body to explore how the body feels in the present moment. The workshop ends with a guided meditation with time for rest and reflection.
