It’s spring, lighten up! Spring, the change from winter to the warm season, is an important time to begin some simple, preventative measures to lighten winter stagnation and weight gain, reduce spring allergies, and create healthy rhythms for spring and summer.
This experiential workshop will introduce the fundamentals of Ayurveda, India’s ancient healing system, and how to implement them in your own life this spring. Ayurveda follows nature’s rhythms- seasonal changes, sunrise to sunset, phases of life, etc. to maintain optimal health. Through eating and acting in accordance with natural rhythms, human beings find happiness. Discover food choices, self-care regimens, and lifestyle tips to help you transition with the season.
1:30-3:30 p.m. Preparing for an Ayurvedic Spring Cleanse
Learn about the philosophy and protocol for a gentle spring detox according to Ayurveda. We will cover a bit of yoga and pranayama, diet, and home therapies you can follow for a one or two week cleanse this April. For more support, you can join the online forum and receive daily emails throughout the spring cleanse, access to the forum of fellow cleansers, and answers to your questions as you go through the process (additional $50 fee for the 2-week online cleanse support). About Kate: Seven extended trips to India and 12 years studying the wisdom traditions of the sub-continent support Kate’s understanding of Ayurveda.
